Some choices to consider;

Size - Baby swing, Single, Double or Triple frame swings
Accessories that can be added, ie Trapezes, Ball bouy, Rocket Rider, Mega Rider
Material of Construction - Metal, Roundwood or Sawnwood – We strongly recommend sawn wood.
Configuration - Swing frame (you choose your own seats) or Swing set (seats included).
Modules - Many companies offer modules that can be added to your swing frame for increased play value (eg Backyard Adventures Fort)

Assembly
Read the instructions thoroughly don’t just look at the diagrams! Get an able helper to help. Playout and lable all of the pieces before you start to construct you playset. These 3 simple tip will save you build time, solve problems, and make the build safer.

Maintenance
When you locate your swingset under certain trees remember that sap and leaf fall can make extra work We also recommend that you take care of the wood, sand off any flakes and re-stain you playset annually to keep the structural integrity of the wood,

Safety
Site your swing frame 6ft away from obstructions, check your swingset regularly paying particular attention to the tightness of nuts and bolt and othe swingset fixings. Sawn timber will always be less prone to shakes.

Preservatives
Since July 2003 in the USA and July 2004 in the UK timber products have had to be pressure treated with a non-toxic, water based solution (e.g. Tanalith E). This has been in use for more than 10 years and is an EU approved alternative to the older arsenic based preservatives, which have been banned from use in domestic and residential applications.

The wavy slides come in 2 lengths for 4ft and 5ft Platforms – 8ft and 10ft

The straight slides also come in 3 lengthsfor 5ft. 6ft and 7ft Platforms – 10ft, 12ft and 14ft

The Open Spiral Slide is available for a 5ft or 6ft Platform.

The Enclosed Tube Side is for 6ft and 7ft Platforms Only.

The slide you buy should be determined by the height of the deck it is being attached to; too short & the angle will be too steep, too long and the slope will be too gentle (and water will pool at the bottom).

We don’t supply a standalone slide.

Many families and organisations want to provide a dedicated and safe play area for their children. As with our play equipment, we can offer you advice, supply only or supply and installation depending on your requirements. All the products we sell have been tested and given approval for their Critical Fall Height (CFH) ratings (e.g. this is usually the deck height on a climbing frame).

As a quick guide to each safety surface;

• Play Bark - low cost per square meter, depth can vary, requires membrane, retaining walls and regular topping up
• Lawn Mat - easy to lay, low maintenance (i.e. grass mowing), 2m CFH
• Grass Mat - easy to lay, low maintenance (i.e. grass mowing), 3m CFH
• Play Tiles - good finish, 3 colours available, guaranteed CFH, installation difficult
• Wetpour - superb finish, guaranteed CFH, can include coloured patterns, installation difficult
